Paintings, Figures, Enamels

I cannot talk too well about my paintings and my vessels and figures... Instead of talking I paint. And when I paint I listen. Many voices.
Many faces. Many echos. Many places past nowhere.
Listen. Listen. Here, there.

I am in search of a clean slate, or an image without baggage. And these paintings and sculptures are traces left behind on the quest toward this grail.

My inspiration is the dichotomy between 2-D and 3-D.
And nature is a major source of wonder and un-ease. It is a subversive force to our civilized brains...nature has its own agenda. To explore that agenda over and over again is essential. Its force takes the words out of your
mouth, sweeping you deeper than words, farther, farther.

I was told that you must always name your paintings. We must name, describe, elucidate and limit reality and beyond... It is a daunting task.

And we may still fall between the cracks - there are no words for those vague and unvisited and empty spaces that haunt lastingly.
